Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! EVEN THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T CELEBRATE IT. Be happy or else! :D

Still thankful.

Mum called me up this morning to say happy turkey day and chatter about the parade; she loves the big parades because she gets to see the marching bands, which are one of her weird quirky passions. There is no fan of marching bands like my mother. I also got to inform her that apparently they're making a third National Treasure movie, which netted me an actual gasp of joy; she loves those films with an unwavering, unholy passion. I don't know why, I think she likes treasure hunts. Explains why she likes White Collar so much too, I suppose.

I had at least three pirate-themed treasure hunt birthdays as a kid, which looking back were probably more her idea than any particular love of pirates on my part. Not that I didn't love them, I did, they were fantastic and involved real treasure maps. There is nothing like being seven and being given a TREASURE MAP and getting to lead like, a herd of small children around a park to find out where Dad was hiding with the birthday cake.

In other news, the blog tour continues apace, with a post about the work I did on The City War specifically at Book Reviews By Kathy. Hooray for blog tours!
