Jan. 16th, 2013 08:55 amWell, apparently the annuity issue has been solved. As usual, it stems from Crazy Aunt M's desire to win even when nobody else is playing the game.
Apparently the annuity is quite small -- the lump sum will come to somewhere around six thousand dollars, supposedly -- so there's no benefit to taking it yearly. She called me with this information this morning, having "forgotten" to include it in the packet (I think Lucky called her last night and gave her WTF for a while).
So it's not even that she'd get more money if I did this, or that her kids would, or that anything would happen that would cause her gain. It's just that if I sign the forms without having all the information, she wins because she made me do something foolish.
I just. How do people have the energy to live that way.
