She's offering fic, and also offering to pay the money back as she can. Peasantwitch is also known as GypsyLady on LJ, and she's one of my old Askworld colleagues. dancingthroughthestars is still raising money for medical treatment for their pet chinchilla Tutti, whose condition has worsened. They're accepting donations but also offering tarot readings to raise the cash.

I AM BURIED IN CALENDARS. BURIED.

We are hiring two new people in two of my departments, and the interviews are my job -- or would be, if one of the departments would stop interfering and one of the guys in the other department would stop trying to come up with excuses not to attend. Sack up, man, you're on the questioning end, that's the easy part, you don't even have to hire anyone, you just have to have THOUGHTS about who to hire.

Plus I'm booking two days of a guest specialist coming in, and I'm booking it by phone, with my very, very sick boss, poor woman.

Which is why you have not heard from me today. This "working for a living" is really cutting into my blogging time. But I got a lot done today, so hopefully tomorrow will be less psychotic.

Hopefully. Not probably, though.

Before I forget, there's a late RFM from dreamwaffles that couldn't wait -- Olhando pras Estrelas is a documentary project about a Brazilian ballet school for the blind that needs $2K in the next 20 hours or so in order to get their Kickstarter funding and make the film. I don't normally link stuff that doesn't involve life-threatening emergencies, but they're close to their goal and on a limited time frame, so I thought I'd make an exception.

Maybe the good karma will backwash into my life and drown the fucking mouse that is trying to eat my bathroom right now. STOP CHEWING ON THE SINK, MOUSE.
