THE FLIRTING HAS BEGUN. Not for me personally (though I've been exhorted to ask out one of my very cute and quite interesting distant-coworkers) but for the retreat at large. People are drinking and eyeballing each other. It's probably just as well that it's flirting, because the other option is fighting and a fistfight among this crowd would -- well, it would be hilarious, but also a mess even I couldn't get us all out of.
Otherwise everything's going well; "very tired" is par for the course with these things but I'm certainly a lot more settled than I have been in past years. IT TAKES ME A FEW YEARS TO GET USED TO THINGS, I am not a master of "accepting change".
