Jul. 11th, 2013 03:50 pmOh my god the Super Prestigious East Coast Institution I applied to last week CAAAAALLED MEEEEE.
And left a message because I didn't hear the phone. So I called them back! And left a message.
TAG. YOU'RE IT, SUPER PRESTIGIOUS EAST COAST INSTITUTION.
I also had an interview today with Semi Prestigious Midwestern Institution Not In Chicago (shortened name pending) which was conducted via Skype and went as well as anything involving Skype ever does. It's so funny to me that now, interviewing when I already have a job, I don't have to be nervous about making a good impression -- which leads to the revelation that sometimes people who interview you are super awkward.
If I had to interview someone I would be super awkward too, it's just weird to be on the receiving end of such astounding awkwardness. (Also, hilarious northern-midwest accents.) But I talked a lot about my love for data and my interest in research and I'm pretty sure I killed it.
Now if only the Prestigious East Coast Institution Slightly To The South Of The Other One would call me.
Or if any Prestigious Chicago Institution had any job openings at all.
COME ON ART INSTITUTE, HIRE SOME PROSPECT RESEARCHERS.
