Aug. 26th, 2013 07:39 amGood morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!
Ways to Give:
wldcatsprstr_14 is attending graduate school on a stipend, and has found that they're short money for their course books. You can read more here at DW or here at LJ, and donate by paypal to kittimak220 at aim dot com.
quennessa is raising money to have her damaged film and negatives repaired and scanned properly, as they've been damaged because of water and mold. You can read more about the fundraising drive here. She has 50,000 images she's trying to save -- though the fundraiser is only for 10th of that to save the most badly damaged ones -- so every dollar is appreciated.
Anon's rabbit, Nudge, is getting older and arthritis is causing him some walking problems. which in turn is causing sore hocks on his feet where the fur is wearing unevenly. They need to wrap his feet in booties (tiny rabbit booties!) to protect them, which is where RFM comes in. The booties need extra rabbit fur as a liner, and they can't harvest enough from Nudge because he's tiny and shorthair. So if you are a rabbit owner with extra fur, please get in touch at katm201 at gmail dot com! They are offering to pay for shipping and would be very grateful.
oligomer is doing a survey on public opinions regarding biofuels for a writing class, and could use your help! She needs 100 responses by Wednesday, and currently only has twelve. You can read and fill out the survey here.
Buy Stuff, Help Out:
KudosCon is a convention specifically focused on fanworks, which will be held in January in Minnesota. They're raising funds to hold the con via kickstarter, which is the only way to register for the con; it sounds like it's going to be a great time. (I am actually working on a project that may be unveiled at Kudoscon, which would be exciting.)
skud is selling a bunch of books and DVDs, $2 apiece plus postage, as a virtual garage sale to make some extra cash to cover bills. You can read more and see the list of books and DVDs here!
And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can always post items for my attention in comments here (or on any post) or email me at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!).
