Oct. 7th, 2013 08:40 amGood morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!
Ways To Give:
katarik's friend
ladyotterfae fosters pets, and recently took in a pit bull who ended up having a litter of puppies. She has a gofundme up to raise money for heartworm medication for mama and vaccinations for the pups. You can read more and see more photos of Maggie and her pups at their Facebook.
Laura emailed me last week about a fundraiser she had at donorschoose.org, but fortunately she was funded before RFM came around. She pointed out that there are a lot of great fundraisers on donorschoose for people to support, however, and supporting teachers is a great way to contribute to our community.
Help For Free:
tealin's friend Ilyana is in the running for a full-ride scholarship to the animation program at Vancouver Film School, but she needs 15000 votes on her application video before October 21st. You can read more here, or vote (using your twitter or facebook login) here.
moonlitcactus has a friend who is starting a new business making clothing for people with sensitivities, such as people on the autism spectrum or with eczema. She'd like to find more about peoples' needs, and has a survey up here for anyone who has had issues with buying clothes for themselves or their children/loved ones due to sensitivity. More about the business is here if people are interested. (Man if we'd had something like this when my brother was three, he would have spent a lot less time naked.)
jonaht linked to Cars For Good, where you can vote to tell Toyota which charitable organisation they should donate one of 100 Toyota cars to.
And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can always post items for my attention in comments here (or on any post) or email me at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!).
