Mar. 19th, 2014 11:59 amI have finished season two of the Netflix remake of House Of Cards. God damn that's a good show.
It suffers from a few of the flaws most political dramas suffer from -- too many people talking too fast about things you only vaguely remember from earlier -- but the "all at once" nature of the episodes helps that. And I felt S2 was a lot more fast paced than S1; maybe I just care more about sexual assault in the military than I do about Pennsylvania's watersheds?
Anyhow, the rest of the reaction is behind a cut; if you haven't seen at least the first episode of S2 and you're a fan, do yourself a favour and don't click. Spoilers follow, major spoilers.
( House of Cards, S2 )
It's such a great show, especially for being a remake of an adaptation of a novelized homage to a play. I have to say I love the original series more, but only because it came first and therefore holds a special place in my heart.
