Apr. 28th, 2014 08:17 amGood morning everyone! It's time for Radio Free Monday!
Ways To Give:
storyinmypocket linked to a gofundme for
piratepurple, a queer, disabled college student who needs help paying for a study abroad trip that'll give her the last credits she needs to graduate this summer. The tuition is paid for, but she needs additional funding for her plane ticket and travel expenses. You can read more and donate here.
dreamwaffles linked to a fundraiser for Malia McCollister, who is trying to get to grad school for her MLS. Her university of choice requires her to take summer classes online before admitting her, and she can't get financial aid for courses where she hasn't officially been submitted. She's still a grand short and tuition is due this week; you can read more and help Malia pay for her courses here.
taragreen89 linked to the Movery, a contemporary dance company to which her sister belongs. The Movery is trying to raise money for their latest performance, Cue. They've currently raised approximately $1200 of the $2000 needed and have about a week left; you can see past performances here, or read more and support the project (and get cool perks!) here.
Melayne linked to MSPCA-Angell, a Massachusettes-based humane society and veterinary clinic which recently took in about 40 Maine coon cats from a single home. The cats are currently spread between their three locations in Boston, Centerville, and Methuen; they're looking for forever homes and if you'd like more info you can contact them at adoption@mspca.org.
And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can always post items for my attention in comments here (or on any post) or email me at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!).
