Good morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!

Ways To Give:

[dreamwidth.org profile] ragingrainbow is a single mother with financial difficulties due to an undiagnosed chronic illness. She is working to stave off eviction, and is raising money to pay bills and keep food on the table. You can read more and donate here.

[tumblr.com profile] iamshadow21 linked to [tumblr.com profile] vyllalala, who has had an emergency hospital stay for gallstones (oh, the pain D:) and is doing art commissions to cover expenses. You can read more about how to commission and donate here.

[personal profile] mathsnerd is moving house to a wheelchair-friendly flat and has found she has to raise just over 4700 Euros as quickly as possible in order to secure the flat (there's a Fixtures & Fittings fee). She draws disability pension, which means she's not making very much, but she has charities offering to help as long as she demonstrates she has a plan to get the money together. You can read more here and support the fundraiser here.

Gabrielle, a disabled, neuroatypical student, has been offered a spectacular opportunity: tuition and housing at Smith College, but the scholarship does not cover healthcare, travel, textbooks, and other incidentals. This opportunity is an escape from an abusive home for her, and she's raising funds to cover the rest of her expenses. You can read more and donate at her gofundme here.

[livejournal.com profile] digitalwave has been offered housing for their first vacation in many years, but they don't quite have the budget for transit and food while on vacation. They need to raise some money for the trip, and are selling DVDs, purses, body lotions, geeky books, and other fannish miscellaney here.

[livejournal.com profile] frenchroast linked to a fundraiser for the daughter of [livejournal.com profile] smwright. Ms. Armentrout is starting her first year of teaching in a high-poverty, high-needs school, and is trying to buy supplies for her classroom, including things like a rug for the classroom and literacy materials that will benefit the school for years to come. You can read more and donate here.

[tumblr.com profile] pondamypond is raising money to get her car permit and license, which will aid her in getting a job to pay for school and get out of her parents' place. You can read more here and support the fundraiser here.

In A Bind is a not-for-profit project which works to provide chest binders for female-to-male transgender youth and genderqueer youth, who often have difficulty getting access to chest binders. They have had to close their waiting list due to backlog, and are fundraising in cooperation with the Frank Cassata Family Foundation to raise $3K for binder purchases. You can read more and find out where to donate here.

[dreamwidth.org profile] tealin linked to a fundraiser for Simon's Cat, a popular web series that is working on a color episode and would like to pay the artists helping them to produce it. There are fun perks, and as Tealin says, "the satisfaction of helping to circumvent the studio system" :D You can read more and support the project here.

Help For Free:

[tumblr.com profile] spiredog is conducting a study for her senior thesis on whether elements of teh subculture of fandom are becoming a part of mainstream culture. You can read more here, and if you want to help, share the link at the post with family and friends (over the age of 18) who do not consider themselves a part of fandom.

Buy Stuff, Help Out:

[livejournal.com profile] talekyn linked to The Many Tortures of Anthony cardno, a short story anthology raising money for the American Cancer Society. The anthology has 22 authors across multiple genres, and you can find it here on Amazon; I'm told it will be available at Barnes & Noble and on Kindle soon.

[tumblr.com profile] pretensesoup has a novella out, "About love, death, ghosts, physics, and Chinese philosophy". You can check out her website here which includes information about her novella The Joy Of Fishes here.

Robyn just started a website to sell jewelry that she makes. You can check out the site here; she'd love some word of mouth publicity.

Housing:

[personal profile] kinetikatrue and the People's Republic Of Fandom are still looking for a fourth housemate to share a four bedroom house in Takoma Park full of "introverted queerish nerds". You can read more about the home and its occupants and get in touch here.

News to Know:

[tumblr.com profile] illustratedjai runs LGBTQ&A, a youtube channel aimed at answering questions about LGBTQ+ issues, vocabulary, and identity. You can check out the channel here, and support it via patreon here.

[livejournal.com profile] rosefyre let me know that the old tardisbigbang.com site has apparently vanished. If you're looking for the tardisbigbang fics you can usually find them via archive.org, but if it was the only place your fic was archived, you might consider reposting it somewhere so people can still enjoy it!

And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can post items for my attention at the Radio Free Monday submissions form or via email at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!).
