Sep. 6th, 2014 06:22 pm I think I met my ghost this morning.
Whenever I tell people about my apartment, they always ask "Is it haunted?" once I mention the rent. I mean, yes, I worked hard to find this place and it took six months, but the uniformity of the question has led me to believe that maybe I have a ghost.
It's mostly a joke, but it's a harmless one, and occasionally one does wonder. Mum says she saw something in the mirror, and she has an excellent reputation with seeing ghosts.
This morning I was dreaming that I was walking down the hallway from the elevators to my apartment, and I knew someone was behind me. I was just turning around to see who it was when they said "Hello!"
The "Hello!" came right as I woke up, so I had one of those creepy moments when you're almost sure you heard the thing in a dream, but not fully sure. Still, as messages from the beyond go, "Hello!" is pretty harmless.
And hello to you, Ghost!
From the tone of voice I suspect Ghost is either a young woman or a boychild, which does not solve the problem of how to gender Ghost. We shall see.
