Feb. 6th, 2015 09:04 amOne of my jobs in research for the department is, every so often, to enter obituaries for patrons who have recently died. Usually this is one of the less complicated tasks I do, so I don't mind it, though it is a sharp reminder of one's own mortality.
Like today, when I found out a gentleman I'll call Bob died. Bob had a very nice obituary dated to February 4, 2015.
But when I went to enter it into his news clippings file, I found out that the last article entered in his news clippings file was an article dated January 22, 2015, entitled "[Bob] Still Active and Healthy At 93".
Poor Bob. At least he was active and healthy to the end.
