maschalismos was recently diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia, and is struggling to cover medical bills for her diagnosis and for ongoing attempts at treatment. You can read more and help out with her medical bills here.

editrx has been struggling a lot lately, and is now facing hugely high water bills because of local polution, as well as a lien on her house for a property tax bill that has gone past due. She needs to raise $6K to keep her head above water. You can read more about her situation here and help her keep her home here.
Anon linked to a pair of books her friend, GL Tysk, has written on Japanese culture and history: a collection of short stories and a novel. She has also launched a Kickstarter to fund the publication of a book about John Manjiro, the first Japanese person in America. Contributions to the kickstarter and purchases go to support a writer trying to live on writing!

bluealoe is a graduate student in Museum Studies who has an internship at the Wing Luke Museum in Seattle this summer. She's looking for advice about summer housing in Seattle, particularly in the Chinatown-International District or nearby areas, as well as advice about public transportation. sahiya is relocating to NYC from SF for a new job and seeking a roommate in the NYC area (Brooklyn, Queens, or Jersey City) starting in June for her and her two friendly cats.
