Good morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!

Ways to Give:

[tumblr.com profile] rainne's mother has been diagnosed with cancer, and they are raising funds to help defray living expenses and cover treatment beyond what Medicare will cover. They're offering fic for donations over $10, but will take any amount; you can read more and find a donate button here.

[personal profile] maschalismos was recently diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia, and is struggling to cover medical bills for her diagnosis and for ongoing attempts at treatment. You can read more and help out with her medical bills here.

[livejournal.com profile] editrx has been struggling a lot lately, and is now facing huge water bills, plus a lien on her house for a property tax bill that has gone past due. She needs to raise $6K to keep her head above water. You can read more about her situation here and help her keep her home here; she also has jewelry for sale on Etsy and her bookshop, Star Cat Books, sells through abebooks here.

[livejournal.com profile] iamshadow linked to a fundraiser for Lee and Sandra, an elderly lesbian couple living in Australia who want to get married in New Zealand before Lee's impending death from COPD. They've met their initial $6K goal, but have extended the fundraising to help the couple have a reception and a short honeymoon. You can read more and support their marriage here.

Lex is raising money to pay for volunteer work this summer banding birds; they're raising about $100 via Etsy sales of hedgehog pincushions and crocheted blankets. You can shop their Etsy here, and they're offering 40% off orders of $10 or more with the coupon code CAFE40.

[tumblr.com profile] ivylaughed linked to Rebecca's Gift, a new charity that is raising money for families who have experienced the death of a child; funds give the families a usually much-needed vacation in order to step away from their grief and take time to deal with the loss. You can read more and support the charity here.

[tumblr.com profile] songspinner9's daughter's school, MCP (a middle and high school for students with learning differences) is fundraising to expand services to students, including financial aid. MCP is designed to give kids the accommodation and tutoring they need in the way they need it, which understandably is not cheap. You can read more and support the school's fundraiser here.

Housing:

[livejournal.com profile] seascribe is moving to Boston for her first job, and is looking for a place to live. She's a mid-20s cis woman looking for fannish and queer friendly housing with rent <1050 starting in September, convenient to work in Dorchester, with reliable parking, cat friendly and ideally dog friendly. You can read more and get in touch here; she's also looking to rehome a basset labrador dog just in case she can't find housing that will take him, and you can read more about that here.

[tumblr.com profile] thephoenix04 is looking for information on Portland, Oregon as a possible place to move later this summer. She's looking mostly for good places for a single woman to live and work, anywhere to avoid, and info on public transit. She can be reached at her tumblr or at [livejournal.com profile] thephoenix04.

[livejournal.com profile] off_coloratura is looking for a third roommate in a Rogers Park apartment in Chicago. $750/mo plus utilities (usually between $50-$100); a private room with shared bath, in-unit laundry, and two cats, close to the red line and grocery. You can view pictures and get more information here.
