Aug. 21st, 2015 02:31 pmPitas and yogurt are done, bread is on its second rise, shrimp are thawing, pie crust is chilling.
I did some quasi-scientific testing with the yogurt and I have determined that it is indeed cheaper to buy a pint of greek yogurt than to make a pint of greek yogurt oneself. And it's not like bread where it's cheaper to buy bread but nutritionally better to make it myself; yogurt's pretty much yogurt.
I’ve been dealing with some back pain of mysterious origin and I discovered today that it is not kidney stones (”It’s not kidney stones” is always a nice thing to hear) but I really don’t think that the doctor is correct that it’s a sprained muscle. Regardless, I got a scrip for physical therapy and also one for codeine so if one doesn’t solve the problem the other will at least be a short term fix. I privately believe I am splenetic, because it’s fun to say and the spleen is in that general area.
So: first painkillers, then I bake bread, make fake apple tarts, and have a shrimp boil. This should be good.
