Good morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday! It's a quick one this week. :)

Ways to Give:

Anon linked to a fundraiser for an Irish Dance teacher who is trying to take her students to a national dance competition in Redlands, California, to give them a chance to go to Worlds next year. You can read more about the team and support the fundraiser here.

[personal profile] maschalismos was recently diagnosed with lupus and fibromyalgia, and is struggling to cover medical bills for her diagnosis and for ongoing attempts at treatment. You can read more and help out with her medical bills here.

[livejournal.com profile] editrx has been struggling a lot lately, and is facing a lot of bills, a lien on her house, and overdue rent on her independent bookstore. She's currently raising $2250 to pay back rent to keep from being evicted; you can read more and help out here. She also has jewelry for sale on Etsy and her bookshop, Star Cat Books, sells through abebooks here.

Housing:

[tumblr.com profile] tzikeh is looking for a housemate to move into a condo in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood; it's a large bedroom and private bathroom for $805/mo plus utilities (which for Uptown, and to judge by the photos, is a hell of a deal). You can read more and get in touch here.

And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can post items for my attention at the Radio Free Monday submissions form or via email at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!).
So, I have this mixing bowl that I got from my mother when I got my first apartment; it had been a gift to her from her mother-in-law at some point in the distant past, and she passed it on to me because I needed a bowl.

It's been a great bowl; it's deep and wide and enamel, and it's perfect for mixing stuff in. But the enamel doesn't cover the very top rim of the bowl, which is metal and prone to get kind of cruddy, so I decided I'd see if I shouldn't get it re-enameled, or repaired somehow, because I don't want my nice third-generation bowl to disintegrate because I didn't care for it properly.

So I googled for it, and managed to find a picture of it on google imagesearch; it was for sale on Etsy, which makes sense because it was a vintaOH MY GOD TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS?

Apparently my mixing bowl was designed by some famous Finnish guy for some famous Finnish tableware company, and bowls he designed now go for between $120 and $300 in the vintage collectibles market.

So I have now washed the bowl very, very carefully with a soft cloth, and I have to find a new home for it that is not "piled on top of the glass mixing bowls in the baker's rack".

(I will never sell it, it's a GREAT BOWL, it's worth $200.)
BTW, for those who wanted to see the bowl -- this isn't my bowl, mine's a bit more scuffed, but this is the same pattern/make:

It's a Kaj Franck joint. :D
