Before we begin, Sonja has an update on a fundraiser from the start of the year, where they were raising $70K to help Andrew "Cookie" Cook battle a very aggressive form of cancer. After six months, he's recovering well from his surgeries and ended up raising over $90K -- thanks for giving and spreading the word, everyone!

a_phoenixdragon's temp job ended sooner than expected and they need to bridge a gap between that and when her husband's job starts; they're raising funds for rent and car insurance. You can read more and help them out here.

plinys, who has recently moved to Chicago to escape an abusive situation and while she has a job lined up, it won't begin until August. She is having trouble covering first month/safety deposit on a place to stay. She need to raise $1K by Tuesday (tomorrow) to secure the apartment she's found. rilee16 is still struggling to cover medical expenses after two head injuries last year, and hasn't been cleared to return to work, thus can't earn money to cover basic living costs, let alone the bills they've received. You can read more and help out here.
editrx has been struggling to keep her indy bookstore afloat for this past year, and on top of her troubles there, she's now been the subject of a violent assault by her housemate. She's dealing with mounting medical bills and trauma from the assault and needs a lawyer to ensure her attacker is charged properly and convicted.
