Good morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!

Ways to Give:

[tumblr.com profile] ithinkimadorable's grandmother recently passed, and she and her mother are raising funds to get to Florida from North Carolina and attend the funeral. You can read more and find the paypal donation address here.

[tumblr.com profile] thephoenix04's partner, Zeah, is fundraising to afford bottom surgery. She has some money saved towards the surgery but an earlier surgery slot opened up and she's trying to pull the rest of the funds together as quickly as possible. You can read more and donate here.

[tumblr.com profile] lisslynae is raising funds to stay in college; she's also trying to avoid returning to her parents' home, since their relationship is not good. She'd like to graduate on time; you can read more and donate here. She is offeringp erks, including poems and stories, for various donation levels.

[tumblr.com profile] morgynleri linked to a fundraiser for her friend Dave, who needs surgery to save his vision. You can read more and give here.

[tumblr.com profile] nubpher linked to a fundraiser for Lauren, a broke theatre student trying to raise money to attend the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Colorado. She needs funds for travel, lodging, and food for herself and a fellow student. You can read more and help out here.

[tumblr.com profile] dreamwaffles's summer job ended and she's trying to make ends meet until she can land another one. She has a donation page up here but is also selling beaded jewelery through Etsy; you can check out Saxifrage Designs and make a purchase here.

[tumblr.com profile] rilee16 is still struggling to cover medical expenses after two head injuries last year, and hasn't been cleared to return to work, thus can't earn money to cover basic living costs, let alone the bills they've received. You can read more and help out here.

[livejournal.com profile] editrx has been struggling to keep her indy bookstore afloat for this past year, and on top of her troubles there, she's now been the subject of a violent assault by her housemate. She's dealing with mounting medical bills and trauma from the assault and needs a lawyer to ensure her attacker is charged properly and convicted. You can read more and give here, send a giftcard for groceries (to editrx@gmail.com) or support Starcat Books by purchasing here.

Help For Free:

[tumblr.com profile] fightforsmthn is a chronically ill teenager, diagnosed with an extremely rare condition called Recurrent Subacute Thyroiditis. She's not fundraising, but rather looking for other patients who have this condition, and for information and support. You can read her account and reblog here.

[tumblr.com profile] theactualcluegirl is looking for rehearsal space in Western Mass for Murder Ballads, who you may remember as the geniuses behind The Ballad Of Captain America's Disapproving Face and other folkie hits. They have some fairly specific needs; you can read more and get in touch here.

Buy Stuff, Help Out:

A post going around tumblr is publicising Sappho Chocolates, in Florida, a lesbian-owned chocolate company with a delightful assortment of Nerd Chocolates. You can read and reblog here or check out their chocolates at their website.

Activism:

The stories coming out of Aleppo this past week have been terrible and tragic. Several people have posted links lists of ways you can help. There is a post here with donation information which also includes links to places you can educate yourself about the situation in Syria and be notified of solidarity events and actions you can take. There are more fundraising links here and [tumblr.com profile] arabstreet has information about their sales page where they're donating a portion of each sale to Syrian relief through the end of 2016.

In the US, Indivisible has put together a PDF called "A Practical Guide for Resisting The Trump Agenda". You can access the guide and Indivisible's website here. (You can download the guide without signing up.)

Anon knows that a lot of people are feeling discouraged by the current state of politics, and has linked to a page of concrete measures where positive actions are having results. You can read 99 Reasons Why 2016 Was A Good Year here.

And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can post items for my attention at the Radio Free Monday submissions form or via email at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!). If you're new to fundraising, you may want to check out my guide to fundraising here.
