Does this pie look...angry to anyone else?

I fear it.

All you have to do is tweak its name a little: Tarte aux pommes et au beurre de cacahuète caramélisé, façon alsacienne :D

but they're easy to do! ALT coding is your friend. I can do the à and the â and the ç and even û and î and æ and everything.

Or if you have a UK keyboard, it's just altgr + vowel. áéíóú. But you have to remember alt codes for the rest of them. I'm terrible on French ones these days (rarely need them) so have to use a bit of trial and error based around the ones I know but I can do German ones and a few others without thinking.

I teach French, so I have to be able to do all of them - I've got a cheat sheet with all the accent letters, and with practice I know pretty much all the French ones by heart. I love alt-coding because it's as fast as typing.

*g* Well, not really MOCKING, more like... I was reflecting about fancy restaurants and expensive desserts and thinking that the more pretty accents you have in your menu, the higher the price :D. And also: the easier it is to raise an arrogant eyebrow and call your patron a phillistine if he happens to not like your dessert. ;o)

I thought the "c cédille" (ç) added a nice extra touch of French Cultural Arrogance :D.
