Date: 2010-01-26 09:47 am (UTC)I have avoided beans for the last couple of years after a similar experience with a bean "chilli" served on a cycling holiday. It was the only veggie option, so it was eat that or be hungry, but in retrospect, hunger would have been more pleasant. It didn't even taste of anything much, hence the quote marks...
