Is Ianto Jenny's companion? BECAUSE I LOVE JENNY. And it would be awesome to see that, yes, yes it would.

I love the flip-flopping relationships in this, Levi!Jack and Lo!Jack being the most obvious, but also the relationships between Jack and the Doctor, Jack and Torchwood, and so on.

Also, managing director of the Library?? Why am I not surprised that Jack managed that (and managed to completely screw it up?) *laughs*

It's like Ender meets Sam Vimes meets Miles Vorkosigan. And then is fucked sideways by Jack Harkness. *loves*

Ianto is TOTALLY Jenny's companion. I love Jenny like burning. :D

Also I would kill to be managing director of The Library. I figure Jack was still with Torchwood when some terrible calamity befell him and he felt like he needed somewhere really quiet to lick his wounds for a century or two.

OMG there needs to be more Jenny-love. She is made of awesome. I was actually Regenerated!Jenny for Halloween this year. ;-) Really, if you were to write Jenny and Ianto traveling through time and space, I would not mind at all. Just sayin'.

*grins*

Word. It feels as though it would be soothing for him. I would not kill to be managing director of The Library, however, as I might be distracted from any actual managing by... well, the endless stacks of books. I would however slaughter untold millions be perfectly fine with being Cal. Oh yes.

I secretly, deep in my tattered soul, ship Jenny/Jack just a little. But Jenny/Ianto would be new and fun and made of awesome. It's a little bit Remains of the Day, except the butler falls in love with the Earl's daughter.

The great thing about being Managing Director is that he could foist all the real work off on his assistants and spend all day reading and being the Visible Face Of The Library and showing patrons around and having kinky anonymous sex in the erotica section.

Jack totally met River Song while he was there. She hit that ass like a car with no brakes.

Um, me too. Esp. Jenny in her camo gear, and Jack in his RAF outfit? It's like military porn meets time travel! And .43 of the fun is imagining what the Doctor would say when he found out.

Not to mention what Jack would say when he found out who Jenny's dad is....

Jack/River = ship made in WhoHeaven. WHY HAS NO ONE DONE THIS???? I'm imagining COMPETITIONS in the erotica section! Wrist-strap vs. sonic screwdriver!

But I'm sad that Jack's resumé no longer includes the early stint at Kethsai University, because Stupid Human Tricks is my favorite Jack backstory evah. Imagine him returning to the Earth History chair and....rewriting the curriculum?

(On the other hand, QUANTICO. Do you have a secret kink for FBI Behavioral Science fic?)

The Doctor/Levy interaction is priceless. Always wanted to see Jack get the upper hand a bit, never expected this kind of IC plausibility. Reconstruction as cover story? You don't miss a trick from canon, do you?

I KNOW RIGHT. Jack/River is genius in the making.

In re Quantico, it's also where the Marine officer training is held, and I figured Jack for a Marine type :D

Sam, sometimes you're being really witchy. I figure Jack was still with Torchwood when some terrible calamity befell him and he felt like he needed somewhere really quiet to lick his wounds for a century or two.
I'd actually really like to read this after CoE.

This story is still made of awesome. Jack meddling in his own timeline is always fun, Ianto being Jenny's companion is just made of win!

One little thing:
One of the strategic commanders extended his fingers in a silent request. Lo nodded at her.

I know this is scifi, but this confused me. Is that commander female or male?

Well, mostly I think I just talk so much bullshit that sooner or later some of it will come true. :D I do think that -- this particular calamity wouldn't drive Jack to somewhere like the Library. The end of S3 is something Jack needs to run from, and the Library is much more a place where he could go to be quiet and think and rest. I don't think S3-end Jack is interested in resting. But point well taken all the same :D

The gender confusion is probably an error. I'll have a look at it, thanks!
