I had to look it up; I've never quite believed it, and it turns out it's half-true, but still great fun :D

*dries tears of laughter*

It was the NCIS pic that did it, though I came close with the Constantine vignette.

Oh, very nicely done! This must have taken you a long time. I especially liked IV (but then you've already more than sold me on that concept), XV and XVI.

These are all so gorgeous - you have such a lovely ability to tell a huge story with a snapshot (HAH SEE WHAT I DID THAR) of detail.

The NCIS one, though - that one just made me sqeee!

Heeee! There is so much to love here! I think my favorite is the bit with Grigori Rasputin, but I loved the story surrounding the Audrey Hepburn one and the mental image of Ianto laughing at Jack in the Carnaby Street one and Tosh's comment on Jack leading a very weird life.

A picture says a thousand words. Lovely gallery of memories.
Loved Rasputin and Gibbs!
Though if he met Gibbs did he meet Ducky? He'd be, is he, isn't he?

*applauds* Well done - I love the photoshop work - esp. the Gerald Ford re-touch. It's so well-done that my husband stared at the photo for a full minute and I STILL had to nudge him in Jack's direction. *G*

The snippets of story and history were very, very Jack - and then you went and touched on CoE. *sniff*

The Gerald Ford is definitely one of the better ones :D He even has a reflection!

Jack Harkness and Illya Kuryakin. YES PLZ. It doesn’t even have to be pr0n!

If you only ever watch one episode of The Man from U.N.C.L.E., make it “The Strigas Affair” — very clever plot, and the guest stars include William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, pre-Trek.

These are fabulous! I love love LOVE the Hepburn one, with the almost gropage and the story and the thought of Iantos expression! Also much love for the Queen Elizabeth and the Kennedy photos and stories! Love them all, really!

Also, have you seen this site? http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/farid/research/digitaltampering/
What you did with the photos reminds me of it, is all. Clicking on the pictures there shows the original and the manipulated photos.

Wow. That's an amazing piece of work, Sam.

I think Jack at the Haymarket Memorial is my favorite manip (both for the qualities of looking real, and for telling a story all on its own).

I kind of love you for the embedded crossovers, btw. Man From UNCLE! (which, you should see at some point. They have attack cheetahs, it's awesome.) Constantine! NCIS! :D

Plus, you know. Audrey Hepburn, damn.

I like to think of it more as presidential charm, but there's no doubt in my mind that Jack had a crush :D

Gibbs/Harkness is HAWT. I'm curious, did he think Ducky looked a lot like Illya? :D These are great... and the pictures are perfect. Awesome job!

These are all fantastic.

(I love the "Empty Child" reference in the last one.)

The last one destroyed me. The child's gas mask tied his birth as a hero to his death as one, perfectly. It is now my personal fanon that he walked through Chernobyl during those six months.

I think it's reasonably likely. Jack would want to be away from people, and I think he'd also want to sort out how he feels about death and about the deaths of those he loves in particular. He's not much one for ambiguity in terms of his philosophy; he's spent a hundred years avoiding thinking about death, but the loss of Steven (and by extension Alice) seems to have snapped something inside him. I should think he would want to visit famous places of death, maybe die there as well. Just, you know, in case.

Jack after Steven's death is the only time I would believe he might attempt suicide. Not so much to see if it would work, but to see if he could understand death better.
