Do you guys know how many fanfics I have written in my life?

I did the math, and not counting the stuff I wrote before college the answer is approximately one billion fanfics. That is a lot of fanfics. I might be the reason the internet is for porn.

I tell you this because today I finished the archive changeover from LJ to Dreamwidth. All of my fanfic is now housed at the Dreamwidth Sam Storyteller archive, including the SGA stuff and Season Zero, which were on separate communities. Every entry that formerly held one of my ONE BILLION fanfics now has a link leading to the new location of said fanfic. All of the interchapter links are functional (or should be) and the tags are accurate and complete.

Here is a thing I did which was stupid: posted a lot of HP fics with ratings but no summaries. What the hell, me of 2003. Being 24 is no excuse for cursing your 30-year-old self with having to read a bunch of your mediocre porn to remind myself what you wrote. If I could travel back in time I would give you such a slap in the head.

Nice job with Stealing Harry though. Way to catapult yourself into fandom, there.

PS: Watch out for uneven pavement.

If I wrote a letter to myself of 2003 I'd mention that I'd get ID'd every time I tried to get a drink in my first year of uni and to get some ID with my age on before I left my home town. I'd also point out that although each of those book purchases that I spent my entire overdraft on seemed like a good idea at the time most were actually totally shit. I'd probably also point out that living with the german guy, although it would appear to be a welcome break from a flat of girls was possibly the worst idea of my life.

Nice job with Stealing Harry. Still one of the best stories of grown men caring for a child without being a 'comedy' of cock-ups I've ever read.

Well you say it like it's common sense. It's only in hindsight it makes sense...honest. *delusional*

Stealing Harry is made of awesomesauce, gigglage and JKR!pwnage. I came for it, and stayed because your blogs consistently make me laugh, and the geekiness totally wins. I maybe-kinda-sorta did a bit of Kermit-flailing when I started reading here. :)

But I thought you've written a trillion already. :B

Thank you for all the hard work on the migration, and yes, Stealing Harry is simply glorious. It's one of a few fics I go back to read when I'm tired of the lack of good reading. The others includes Cartographer's Craft, though. ;)

Aw, Stealing Harry! I loved it so much, and I'd forgotten that it was the first thing Sam the Storyteller fic I read. And now I definitely want to read it again.

I decided as a 'you finished exams' present, I'd re-read Stealing Harry instead of worrying about if I actually passed said exams.

Thank you for years and years of comfort reading, Sam!

Dude, why shouldn't I tempt you? Look at all the work I do not want to do! :D

It looks pretty well organised already, just skimming it -- and you've got a master list, which is one up on me :D

See, it looks organized. It also needs a big clean-up.

Fortunately, this weekend (aside from Friday's trip to my HS reunion) looks pretty open. I might use it for DW awesome.

Thank you, Sam, for all that hard work! Much appreciated. :)

Stealing Harry keeps coming up here, and while I'd agree it's what made your "bones," I will always think fondly on "Sweet Home." (And "Uncle," but that came later.) And I didn't even come here for the 'fic; I liked your New Year's Predictions, one of which, I believe, had Hermoine turning into a casserole. Though that might have been something else...

I have to say I'm still particularly fond of Sweet Home :D It was such a challenge but so satisfying to finish...

599 SWEET MARY-LOU that is a lot of fanfics.

Have you found anything that you have no recollection of writing? I discovered a House fic I wrote over 9000 years ago and it might as well have been written by someone else, for all I remembered it. MILDLY ALARMING.

Have you ever written a term paper in the middle of the night and not recognized the next morning when you turn it in? All nighters are bad for my brain.

I have found one or two that I a) don't remember writing or b) wonder why I wrote. Plus a ton I didn't remember till I re-read them, yeah. Shame that the one I actually don't remember writing because I wrote it while hammered got lost in the hack, it was amusing -- apparently it gave people the crawling creeps.
