As you know, I'm totally on the "RPF can be awesome and isn't always and necessarily creepy" side of the argument. And this so is awesome. Forget the smut, which is hot, but I do like the lifestyle-exploration, and hmm, the line about the age and the paragraph about what they expect out of the relationship, probably my favorite things in this.

I loves. It's really sweet, just missing someone and getting the next best thing to being with them. The sex is good, but mostly it's the surrounding bits, the build-up and the come-down.

There was a weird John-shaped hole in every room he went into.

Okay, so this is great and funny and sweet and hot and obviously needed to be written to document the human fall-out from Ashpocalyspe. And I'm totally not creeped. (I may have been bitten by a radioactive RPF bug when I was nine writing Duran Duran fanfic so it doesn't creep me). All that's to say if you ever, you know, do it again, that'd be good for me.

(ETA: Scott's terms of endearment for John completely work, too. I actually like that bit of, well, tenderness.)

I actually really liked being able to put terms of endearment into this fic -- it's nice to write "characters" who for once are completely at home with each other and their relationship and their sexuality.
