It's Wednesday, it's January, that means it must be time for SOME THREE THINGS.

Sam's Three Things About White Collar, episode 2.10: The Flatware Of The Covenant


Sara would totally be in there too but I couldn't find a good image of her in the right pose.

1. I've spoken before about how the costume designer hates Sara's breasts, and I think I've been pretty well vindicated on this point by that episode. Mind you, otherwise she was fabulous. She really does love to hit people with her baton! She wants to paint the whole boat! She's going to prank call Peter! SHE WILL PAY YOU BUBBLE.

2. This whole episode was full of priceless reactions. Jones when he finally gets in on the secret ("Ballerina goes around on top?"), Neal's "OH SHIT GIRL" face when Elizabeth's seducing a stranger by phone, Peter's scrutinising double-take when Sara tells Neal it's nice to see him fully clothed -- actually, everything Sara says to or about Neal in front of Peter visibly baffles him, which I find hilarious. Just, so many good reactions and the actors play off each other so well.

3. AHAHAHAHAHA wow okay Peter on a horse was a slightly contrived moment of awesome, but I honestly couldn't care less that it was Slightly Contrived since AHAHAHAHAHA PETER ON A HORSE. Five bucks says he worked at a track in high school. (Also, Neal, honestly, try not to be quite so visibly turned on by it, you're embarrassing yourself.)

3a. I'm pretty sure Elizabeth had catering in for their little Top Secret Meeting, owing to the fact that all the sandwiches in the (hilariously giant) basket of sandwiches on the table had fancy little toothpicks in them. Because Elizabeth is the most awesome.

Usually when I wait a long time for a show it tends to fizzle a little when it finally airs but this episode was fantasitc. Maybe it was also all your fanfic but I kept seeing little glimpses of Peter/Neal love especially when Peter took off on the horse and when Peter had his Burke seven team and showing off his board at his house. Neal was looking so proud of him and had to stay by him on the couch. awwwww.

And paying in Bubbles! ROFL

Not to mention the relief of Mozz returning. I figured he would, but still...Neal pulled him through with all the long nights at the hospital.

This is actually Sara's way of mock-seducing Peter, I do believe. She has as big a crush on Peter as Neal does.

And the "pay you bubble" bit was priceless. Although wtf, how did that come up in the interrogation? Did we miss the part where Larsen is blowing bubbles?

Other than the obvious UST Neal felt for Peter and between Sara and Neal, I loved how obviously turned on Peter was by Elizabeth during the phone call.

When you try to explain the plot of White Collar to someone, it really does make them make some absolutely stunning "WTF" faces. :D

There's this music box, okay, but it's RUSSIAN, and it has a secret compartment, which makes it play different music, which is some kind of formula, but we don't know for what yet...

This was the first WC episode I saw in real time and not via my computer and/or netflix. And it was so awesome. But for me, one of the best parts was Mozzie telling Neal that the music box contained directions on how to build something. I just watched the first disc of Alias (my favorite TV show, White Collar is probably tied with it now) season 2, in which there is a music box which tells you to build something.

If I could write fanfic for WC, there's an Alias/WC fanfic about zero-point energy somewhere.

Alias is MY favorite show, but for absolutely no good reason. Have you seen it all or are you watching it for the first time? Because seasons 3 and 4 are a bit hard to watch, but season five is possibly my favorite. IT IS WORTH IT.

I also hadn't considered the music box connection, which is ridiculous since I'm finishing up season 2 of Alias myself (though to be fair, I stopped in the middle a few months back and just got started again, and watched the music box episode ages ago). Thanks for reminding me!

Y'know, i was trying to figure out Sara's breasts in that first outfit. It was like she was wearing one of those strapless, chicken-fillet kinda bras under a dress that called more for seamless formwear or something. Very odd shapes it made.

I still love practically everything Sara wears, and I think that blue dress was gorgeous, but...yeah, she needs different bras. I'm really not sure what's up with that.

But I think my favorite reaction face was Sara's when Mozzy complimented her on coloring outside the lines.

I think Mozzie knew even in the hospital that he could build the equation with straws, which is why he asked for them -- they're taped to a cafeteria tray, which suggests to me he started work on it in the hospital :D

It's REALLY good that the Elizabeth on the phone scene was online somewhere and that I knew about it because our cable had issues for two minutes right over that. Grrr....yay for repeats...

The reactions on people's faces kept me giggling. Lots of good moments there, and really glad that Jones is in this now.
