Nnnnhgh, my inability to stop storytelling is affecting my ability to actually do my job and have a life (in small ways, but nevertheless).

I was thinking I should just decide to not write for a week, to take the pressure off, because I do have enough projects in the works to be feeling a fair amount of pressure. On the other hand, I know me, and I know that when I get an idea and can't write it down, I end up constantly distracted. And, lately, sometimes I will mouth the words I want to write down, which is not wise.

The thing is, once I write something down it's out of my head, so not writing would just mess me up more. At least presumably. I dunno, might be a fun experiment.

Also, there's so goddamn much to write and only so many hours in the day, I can't really countenance ditching a week's worth of writing time.

Anyway clearly it is not happening anytime soon. In the meantime, more Avengers fanfic! In which my love of well-dressed super-efficient self-effacing badasses shows through once more.

I've had fic eat an entire day before. I think the trick there is to limit it, make a strict rule that you're only going to write for a hour, or ten pages, or whatever goal you set, and stick to it.

This was wonderful.

There needs to be more Avengers fic, even though everything it probably going to get Jossed (heh, literally) when the movie actually comes out...
and there especially needs to be more Coulson fic...

There needs to be more LOKI fic.

Here, have another one. Not Marvel-verse, but extremely funny.

Don't have rights to the journal. =(

But you are absolutely correct -- more Loki is NEVER a bad thing.

You have an iPhone don't you? What about using some app for voice recording/dictation to just spit the ideas out and go back to later, possibly even one that does transcription for you? At the very least, you'd still be able to save your ideas without forgetting them or worrying about not putting them into a form that's not in your head. I have the Dragon Dictation app and while I've used it very sparingly, it's worked pretty well for me. And you could use it while doing other things!

Yeah, but then I'm wandering around in public talking nonsense to my phone :D Plus I don't dictate well...
