Totally meant to post this in the morning. Totally went to work before I remembered it was in a posting client window at home. FAIL.
And yet, RECCS TIME.
All Avengers, all the time this week. But a nice variety!
(Why Couldn't It Last) Last Night by 51stCenturyFox: General Audiences, Steve/Bucky. This isn't my usual fare -- it's rather sad at the end, I thought -- but I do love drunksex (well, in this case, drunkkiss) and Steve/Bucky and Foxy always satisfies.
I've Been In Your Body and It Was A Carnival Ride by postcardmystery: NC-17, Steve/Bucky. I kind of pretend that this is the sequel to the previous fic, because then there's a happy ending! But seriously this is a fic full of amazing pining and the best kind of romantic misunderstanding, as Steve and Bucky try to work out what the hell in the twenty-first century.
Out Of Order by Arch: Explicit, Steve/Tony. I marked this in my archive as "Tony and Steve manage to do EVERYTHING BACKWARDS". Like "Carnival Ride" this is a lot about pining and misinterpretation and finally figuring everything the fuck out. Apparently I was in a mood this week. Anyway, it's really enjoyable and the build of their relationship is a lot of fun to watch.
in a wasp's nest with a short shirt-tail by malfaisant: Explicit, Tony/Steve. Good Ultimates fic is so rare, but precious, because Ultimates is kind of terrible to start with. But Ultimates does feature a Captain America who is President of the United States, and in this awesome fanfic Tony Stark wants to cross "give the President a blow job" off his bucket list. Warning for some internalized homophobia on Steve's part.
Badgering Around The Christmas Tree: Not Rated, mainly gen with some background ships. The badger-verse is mostly focused on non-Avengers, centered on SHIELD support staff, which gives it an interesting view on superheroes. This particular chapter of it was a gift to me, and those of you who follow my philanthropic career will get a kick out of the mention of the Rockefeller Foundation (teaching the wealthy how to spend money since whenevercakes!).
