Good morning all, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!

Ways To Give:

Rosiethemage on tumblr linked me to a fundraising tumblr post by sopranish who is raising emergency funds to pay down a past hospital bill so that they can have testing done for brain surgery on the 16th. Various people on the post are offering art commissions, earrings, and other goods in exchange for donations.

Gwyn linked to an indiegogo for Silver Linings Studio, a sewing studio in Chicago that would provide people with access to sewing machines and allow beginners to get help with projects. I think it's a fantastic idea, and I hope she raises the support she needs!

Anon linked to a gofundme for Courtney, who is facing huge veerinary bills after her cat Liam became ill. (Courtney is also applying to programs in New Jersey that defray veterinary costs, but those are difficult to get and don't cover the entire bill.)

Buy Stuff, Help Out:

[personal profile] cluegirl's house is in dire need of repair before winter. She has a post up with more information and a link to the tarot readings she's selling; they plan to start a kickstarter or indiegogo sometime in the next little while.

[livejournal.com profile] iamlivingmusic is selling make up bags, pencil cases, clutches and other accessories in their Etsy shop to raise money for a new sewing machine when they move from New Zealand to London next March. You can also contact them directly at coolerthancute@gmail.com if you have special requests!

[personal profile] swordage linked to Natural-Magics on Tumblr, who is fundraising via Etsy to raise money for their cat Jazz. You can read more and see pictures of Jazz here, and the etsy shop is here.

Help For Free:

[personal profile] onebrightroad linked to a story about Ivo Widlak, a Chicago journalist who is under threat of deportation, possibly because of his sexuality or because of his investigations into corruption in Chicago. There's a petition in his defense linked in the article here.

News To Know:

[personal profile] highlyeccentric linked to The Black Dog Institute, one of Australia's two leading mental health research bodies, which has created a self-monitoring site called MyCompass. MyCompass tracks moods and can even assign mental health management homework and report-ins. Australian residents also have access to a mobile app.

[livejournal.com profile] stgreyhounds linked to news of Avonte Oquendo, a teenaged boy with autism who is unable to speak and has disappeared from his school. This link has more info and places to call to help.

Just For Fun:

[personal profile] quinfirefrorefiddle has created a fan community for Agents Of SHIELD fans -- you can find it at [community profile] agents_of_shield

And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can always post items for my attention in comments here (or on any post) or email me at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!).

Looked into the info for Jazz the cat some more because I was thinking of booting the signal myself, and found that they reached their goal the first day the post was linked, and kitty has now had his surgery ( http://natural-magics.tumblr.com/tagged/jazzcat ), plus the Etsy shop is pretty darn empty right now. On the other hand, once they get it restocked, it'll still be helpful to buy something because they kind of cleaned out their reserves for the vet bills too, and there's some good stuff listed in the sales record.

As of today (Friday), Avonte still hasn't been found. Don't know if it's worth a repeat post at this point (I for one have a very bad feeling about it...) but I wanted to give you an update.

I think at this point it's local enough and publicised enough that I don't think a repeat post would help; it's not like a fundraiser where people all over the country can give aid. I do hope they find him, though.

This isn't a request or offer for help or anything... I suppose it would be a just-for-fun. I make custom crocheted crafts and I've recently been asked for a set of kitchen linens in a TARDIS theme. I absolutely can do this, but sadly I haven't had the capital for supplies yet (about $15/set) so I don't have a picture to show. However, if anyone would care to have a set, the total would be $58 and include the following:

Kitchen--TARDIS dishtowel with hanging tab, smooth dishcloth, knobby scrubbing dishcloth, two-ply Dalek potholder
Or
Bathroom--TARDIS hand towel, two face cloths, Dalek bath mitt

100% cotton (other fibers available at appropriately adjusted prices)
Shipping not included
$15 supplies cost required up front

Still have time to ship for Christmas

Send requests to happifeetcrochet@gmail.com which, incidentally, is also the PayPal email address where payments may be sent.

Oh GAH, sorry, I somehow missed this! Is it ok if I put it in next week's?

Lol, that's fine. I just finished today's post and was all sadface because I figured you didn't like my self-promoting or something. Having been overlooked is far preferable to being unqualified.

Aw no, I would have responded at least! But that's well within bounds, I just occasionally suck at getting my shit together.

I figured TARDIS and Daleks made it RTYI.

Could you possibly add that I also accept monetary or material donations for chemo hats and women's shelter baby blankets?
