Mar. 2nd, 2004 04:06 pmIs it wrong that I take such delight in researching the peculiar?
The most peculiar is still the time I had to find 17th century French visual pornography, for my undergraduate mentor (we ended up using a couple of Renaissance nudes instead. Go figure). Absinthe was the most fun to study.
This ranks right up there, though.
10th century desert nomads. Preferably Burburs (because it's a fun word to say, that's why). Also Swedish occultism prior to the 20th century.
Cannot cope. Off to Jstor.org.
