Jul. 4th, 2004 03:23 pmThere are LIGHTNING BUGS outside my window!
Their creepiness when not lit is mitigated by their cool name and fluorescent backsides.
There are also, however, many fireworks. And while I like the smell of incendiary devices in the evening -- I used to build model rockets as a child and the scent of explosives is comfortingly nostalgia-inducing -- I also like naps when I am cranky and sick.
Fireworks are not designed to encourage napping, as evidenced by their sparkly and loud nature. Thank goodness for Tylenol PM.
We who are about to nap salute you.
