May. 3rd, 2006 09:40 pmI...missed House. Dammit. It's been like that all day. Ah well, the torrent usually goes up by midnight.
Actually I did get a few things done today. I got a new bag for my Trip of Doom in ten days, and a CD for mum for Mother's Day, plus the idea for another little gift for her that I'll have to doublefast mail order. I wrote a whole big thing about the mall, too, but I haven't the energy to type it up; it's mostly about social anxiety and the refusal to go into a shop if nobody else is in it, because then the shop attendants talk to me and I can't be having with that. Jesus, I'm a male alone in Crabtree and Evelyn, do you really think I'm not aware that Mother's Day is coming?
Also, seriously, $50 for a passport case? Is it made from the Shroud of Turin?
And tonight we watched Mrs. Henderson Presents, which is a funny and rather touching movie about a nude vaudeville review in London during the late 1930s. Watching Mum's reaction to it was almost as good as watching the film itself; when the Divine Dame Judy said the word "pussy" mum actually squeaked in shock. It's worth the rental fee and the time spent watching it, and how often do I say that, really.
