Her: Have you paid the parking yet?
Him: You have my glasses.
Her: You can't pay without your glasses?
Him: I can't see without my glasses.

That exchange right there makes up for the twenty-minute phone call I had earlier with a man who did not want to renew his season tickets because the last person who courtesy-called him was rude to him (you thought we were done? WE ARE NEVER DONE. Now we're on the stragglers who got overlooked). So I did my best, while boggling at what he said coworker E said to him, to placate him and get him what he wanted.

And of course, when we got to payment, he balked because he didn't trust us to seat him properly. So, there's twenty minutes of my life I'll never get back, and some day I'm going to run out of niceness. And, as I might have known, he was a Cubs fan.

I want to be a Cubs fan! I live northside! I instinctively dislike the White Sox! But Cubs fans on the whole make it awfully hard to want to join their ranks. The lone few of you who are decent human beings (you know who you are) clearly have your work cut out for you.
Almost punched inna face by a patron. Exciting night. Am fine, full story when I get home. Well, theatre IS about passion...
No no no.

I don't need more ideas. Especially not for original fiction. NO NO NO.

*sighs*

Except yes.

I've been kicking around the idea of an original fic starring Jack Baker and Ellis Graveworthy for a while now, and someone said STEAMPUNK to me like, three weeks ago and jesus, you got your freaky postmodern historic mechanics in my OCs. (No, you got your OCs in my freaky postmodern historic mechanics!)
