So, I didn't order Chinese yet because groceries are coming and I didn't want the hot food and the groceries to arrive at the same time (this always happens to me). Instead I decided to make a coffee cake from the costco box o coffeecake mix that we got, which makes four cakes if used properly.
Yeah. IF.
One helping of batter didn't look like it would even cover the pan, let alone make two layers with filling inbetween, so I put the filling on top of it and added a whole nother batch as top layer. This may have been an error in judgement on my part, as the coffeecake is currently threatening to overrun the sides of the pan it's in. Fortunately it's a silicone pan and the sides are bowing out to keep the top from flowing over.
FOR NOW. *cue dramatic music*
Also, last night I made watermelon sorbet. As it turns out, watermelon sorbet has the exact taste and texture as actual watermelon. So if you were planning on making watermelon sorbet, I wouldn't. I'd just, you know. Eat some watermelon.
