Jul. 3rd, 2008

There are days when I feel pretty annoyed by the world, but from now on when that happens I will read about the twelve million angry bees and feel better about the way my life is headed.
Triumph!

I went to Trader Joe's and got a loaf of challah, a loaf of Tuscane Pane, four bananas, twelve mini-crabcakes, a package of bratwurst, and a tray of cheese curds, all for $20. Having missed Canada Day entirely (sorry!) I intend to make poutine tomorrow.

I came home and threw some milk and cream and cake mix into the ice cream maker, so there will be chocolate cake batter ice cream for tomorrow. In five attempts at ice cream I've been successful only twice, unless you count the watermelon sorbet that was precisely like eating watermelon. I am only just tipping the odds for success with dairy-based dessert foods.

OKAY. Naptime.
Oh man. That nap was olympic-level sleeping. And I had epic, epic, Frank-Herbert-level-epic dreams, space opera dreams. In the dreamtime I often rob space stations, apparently.

Eh, it's a living.
