The Week, In Review )

We peppered our conversation with puns this week. And someone sent me champagne, and a bone for Max! Thank you!
Let the Adventur begin!

WOW GUYS THAT WAS EIGHT OR NINE TONS OF GETTING LOST.

Did you know there are parts of Chicago that are in a geographic nullspace where you can't actually get off the freeway? You just go from freeway to freeway. It's amazing.

So then I drove from Schaumberg to to the Loop. Which, remember my metaphor about NYC and the Moon? Driving from Schaumberg to the Loop, instead of to Clybourne, is like trying to get from the Moon to Earth, missing it, and hitting the sun.

I did get to Mitsuwa. It was awesome. I bought many things I have only the dimmest idea of how to cook or eat. I will post photos of that later. Right now I'm going to lie down for fifteen minutes, and then leave from home to go to Costco. I know how to get to Costco from home, and will probably not end up in Montana or something.

ADVENTUR!
Stopping at Mitsuwa!

Five guys burgers-- now I ded of potato.
photo.jpg

Burger, fries, and soda at Five Guys: $10.
Cab fare to the impound lot: $20
Getting the car out of impound: $170.

They give you a lot of fries at Five Guys, but that's still pretty much the most expensive hamburger I've ever had. :D

I don't even know why the car was towed, apparently "We had a tow truck, it was there". But there I was, dead phone, no car. You know what saved my ass? MY PASSPORT. I always have it in my bag, and to get the car back you have to have an IL state ID (I don't) or a passport.

Given how far west the impound lot was, I kind of did end up in Montana.
