I have missed Top Gear. There is a marathon, I feel, in my future.

So I watched Desk Set this afternoon, which constantly teetered on the brink of "Oh this is going to suck" and then tipped the other way into SUPER AWESOME. I kept predicting things that would happen and then they didn't, which is a nice change from the usual. Plus Katherine Hepburn in that red coat, yes please. And I like that the middle-aged sharp-witted tech geek got the girl.

And every time the office boy came onscreen I shouted HI IANTO because I am a dork.

So. I made a walnut, fig, egg, and gruyere salad for lunch tomorrow, and then won round one of Writer In A Drawer.

WHAT.

I'm extremely pleased, of course, but definitely did not expect that. :D
