Oct. 21st, 2009 12:50 pmI was going to kick off the day today with a poll about just what I should do this afternoon after work (Spice shopping versus pumpkin smoothies, thrilling stuff), but then a GIGANTIC WALL SHELF arrived for me and answered the question: Sam, you are going to take a cab home with me and install me.
Kinky, wall shelf.
Instead, I have some links for you all. First,
aprivatelibrary did some fanart in-part for Nameless called Boy Gods And Birds: it's a lovely contrasting study of Aengus, from Irish mythology, and the Boy from Nameless.
Talking of, the Nameless brag gallery has been updated more than a few times in the last few months, in case you'd like to see where Nameless has been.
I've also been asked by a friend of
faeriemaiden to give her new community
come_all_ye a little bump; she's in rather tight financial straits and has decided to try and raise funds by offering her own music on the comm and accepting donations in return. I have to admit I love her spirit:
Maybe, armed with a little more self respect and the ability not to have to ask my parents to pay for things like my medication, I can finally land a proper five-to-nine job. Maybe I can rack up just enough money to run off to a large city where I might have a few more opportunities [....] I mean, it's a win-win situation -- at worst, I brush up my musical confidence and expand my repertoire and stretch my discipline a little, even if I don't get any money out of it.
I had to borrow a few thousand dollars from my parents to get to Chicago, so I know how she feels.
