Oct. 22nd, 2009 02:10 pmIt is officially my lunch hour, but since nobody is here I'm eating at my desk and goofing off before I go back to the Big Book of Awesome. I'm on page 21 of 40 for a first draft, which is not too shabby. A lot of it is cribbing from other SOP sheets I've written up, anyway.
This fried chicken did not fare well in the fridge overnight. It was really really good when it was hot, though. I think I want to experiment with tempura batter.
Part of the BBOA is a Crime Prevention And Reporting subheading, which sent me scurrying to the web to find out just what district and beat this building is located in. Turns out our district has its own website and even its own most-wanted list; all Chicago districts do. I have the police station for my home district programmed into my phone (and you should too; sometimes you don't need 911 but you do need a cop) but I never thought about knowing the number for my work district.
If you're in Chicago and want to find yours, you can locate it here.
