This is without a doubt the strangest signal-boost I've ever committed, but there's a definite charm in that :D

A fellow fan is stranded in Fort Stockton, Texas, after apparently having had a fatal-to-her-car run-in with a deer. She's fine, but Fort Stockton is a little thin on taxi service/car rental (yes, I googled to confirm this) and Greyhound won't let her take her cat with her.

Really all she needs is someone nearby who can lend a hand with transportation to somewhere a little more welcoming; I believe she's trying to get to El Paso. If you're near Fort Stockton (which as far as I can tell, it being West Texas, is near nothing) you can find more info and drop a comment here to volunteer to help.
GUYS, IT'S TIME. TIME FOR

CODEFEST III: DREAMWIDTH ATE MY BABY.

Because the people want Dreamwidth codes!

Here's how it works: If you have codes to share, post a comment announcing how many you have. If you need a code, go to the comments first and look for someone who has them to share. If nobody has them to share, then you can post a comment saying Gimme A Code Plz and I or some other kind soul will help you out. If you'd prefer to avoid the melee, you can check out the Dreamwidth Code Sharing Comm.

A few points from yesterday's post:

1. Yes, everything will still be linked from Copperbadge, and will also be linked from Sam Storyteller, because I know some people are here for the fic and not my discussion of how R described the blues music tour he's currently on as "A Barnstorming".

2. Someone else is cleverer than me: How to use OpenID and A Guide to Dreamwidth for LJ Users. Also, a list of LJ features not yet available on Dreamwidth, and what features will or will not be implemented eventually.

3. A few people seemed mildly confused, which is understandable, so -- on Dreamwidth I am "Copperbadge" and "Sam_storyteller", just like on LJ. I also have a comm that I don't know what to do with yet, "extribulumpress".

3a. It is 99% likely that my original work will remain on LJ for now and be archived or mirrored on DW, because the Extribulum process is dependent on the community and the majority of the community is still on LJ.

Have fun! *ducks onslaught of incoming comments*
Okay, people wanted t-shirts but I am warning you guys ahead of time:

1. I cannot vouch for the quality of the image. It was not that high-res to begin with. I don't know what these shirts will look like. The buttons and stuff should be ok.

2. I cannot vouch for the quality of anything really. I've only ever bought art prints from CafePress.

3. Cafepress is super expensive, yo. What the hell.

All that having been said: The Dalek Voltron Shop.

Nothing is marked up more than $2 from the cost Cafe Press assigns to it, clothing is marked up $1; profits go to the National Wildlife Federation to help cleanup and preservation efforts in the wake of the BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

LOL seriously why so expensive cafepress.
I am home! *collapse*

I hope NCIS has a plot tonight. With a proper climax and all. Last week it was just kind of a mess.

For those who want a t-shirt, my internet minions are sourcing cheaper ones, so don't run shouting to buy from cafepress yet. PLANS ARE IN THE WORKS.

But I left the high-res image on my work computer. So they are in the works at work.

I am officially one-quarter of the way through my rewrite for Charitable Getting, which seems like more than it is 'cause I'm still on chapter three. I think. Kind of. I'm rechaptering, it's a whole big thing. And once I get done with this "strengthen POV and make everyone memorable" pass, I have to do an actual plot pass, and then I can start reposting it and weeping when everyone tells me it is still not good enough. Being a writer is awesome. :D
