I AM STILL ALIVE! :D

I am actually not hung over, which is something of a miracle, and very much enjoying my extra day off. Even if, when I go outside, I want to melt. My ancestors lived in places where they legitimately feared the sun had gone out on a yearly basis, I'm not bred for anything over sixty-five degrees.

So I am staying indoors next to the air conditioner, eff the outside world.

This has been your morning report!
I am in the throes of starting to work on text for a possible, eventual website about Extribulum, and one of the pages I thought I would include is a bio so people know who I am.

Having written two versions, I'm forced to choose between "short and useless" or "long and boring". I'm sure this says something about me, but I'm trying not to look too closely at what...

Unrelatedly, I have to say, TV Tropes is like the best prank ever. I linked to a TV Tropes page recently in the Three Things and it cracks me up with malevolent glee every single time it ensnares people.
You know, I'm not an expert in comparative religion so sometimes I'm not sure how mystical a given mystical text is. And I'm pretty sure that house centipedes are sent from the dark nether regions as a plague upon mankind, so killing them is right and just.

But I'm still mildly uncomfortable with the fact that I just killed a house centipede with a copy of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.

(Not the Fitzgerald first edition. I checked.)

I have to say, as bug-killing volumes go, it's highly effective and wipes clean easily. Still, I wish it had been Arcana Mundi. I have less reservations about killing something with a book about Roman blood magic.
