I'm not normally a fan of using religion to fight religious intolerance, but I am a huge fan of counterprotests that force bigots into the position of encouraging the very thing they're protesting. The Massachusetts Bible Society is currently raising funds for They Burn One, We Give Two which promises that for every Qur'an burned in protest by the Dove Outreach Center, they will donate two Qur'ans to hospitals, shelters, prisons, and other places where Muslims may be without access to their sacred text.

strange_selkie's book City Life, which is a children's book about a kid with two mommies, is still available for sale and supports, well, two mommies :) It's a lovely book -- I've had a chance to read it -- and a great Christmas gift for the kid in your life...
