I posted this post earlier this morning when LJ was hatin', so just pretend you read this about four hours ago.

I got four hours of sleep last night, my sinuses actually make noise when you push on them, my nose is chapped, and there is a band-aid on my forehead to cover the spider bite I scratched open in my sleep. I am the very definition of a hot mess.

At least I'm not alone. LJ is severely limited-functionality right now, and I don't know if you guys have noticed but if you use Delicious, the "Recent" function as well as tag/network subscriptions stopped working two days ago. So not only is your subscription kaput, but even if you go to each tag individually, it's not showing anything after March 28th.

Yeah, Yahoo is totally not dismantling Delicious. Absolutely not.
Today's origami pose: THE FRUSTRATED TURTLE.

You really can't blame his bullshit on me. I mean, look at the fold to start with. There's one step where I drew in a missing piece.

But admittedly that turtle is not very flash. And recently I was reading about how routine can positively impact creativity, if it's a specific kind of routine. Lately I've had my writing projects in my Google to-do list, and I haven't been writing much. I don't necessarily think the two facts are linked, but it occurred to me that I should take the article's advice and make my writing routine different from my normal "stuff I need to do" routine. So I made myself a writing die.

Every face is labeled with a project I'm working on -- Exquisite and Trace are the visible ones there -- and tomorrow I shall let FATE decide what I work on. I think that's suitably special, and carries some emotional impact in the suspense.

And if it doesn't work I still have a jammin' origami cube. Modular geometric folding is super-cool because it's really easy, but it looks incredibly impressive.
