My life has been very boring of late. I spent most of the weekend doing nothing, which don't get me wrong is glorious, but doesn't make for great blog fodder. I spent yesterday sick, which normally does make for great blog fodder, but there's only so much I can take from my intenstines without giving up trying to discuss them. And I've spent the rest of the time working. At least I have the excuse that it's our busy season, but that's a pretty weak one considering I spent most of this morning making a new calendar template for my desk planner.

You can always count on my boss to liven things up, though.

Boss: Don't you worry, leaving your bag out on your desk like that?
Me: *looks at messenger bag* There's...nothing really of value in it. If someone steals it they'll get a library book and a handkerchief.
Boss: But it's such a nice bag! It's so...suede-y.
Me: *eyeballs* Do I need to worry about leaving my bag out on my desk?

Via a very circuitous route, I also got mum hooked on Leverage about two weeks ago. The problem is that she is an intensely aural person, and I am not. My mother generally likes television shows because of the music; I suspect she'd be as happy with a soundtrack as with an actual show, so she's been sending me Leverage music the entire goddamn weekend. There are only so many times I can email her back saying "Yes, that's a nice song." It's background music. Give me a lyric, for the love of god.

I may have started making up lyrics to the music. Generally along the lines of "They're doing something sneaky and Timothy Hutton is the hairiest man alive."
