Good morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!

Before we begin, a small update -- Rebecca wanted to say thanks for the books you guys suggested last week -- she really appreciates them!

Ways To Give:

[livejournal.com profile] ladycat777 is doing a fundraiser for [livejournal.com profile] kita0610, who is facing hip surgery today and has just lost both her cars. You can read more or donate here.

There is some pretty dire flooding going on in Queensland right now; there's an updated news page here. I'd like to recommend that people who want to help give to the Australian Red Cross's Queensland Flood Appeal. Or feel free to link relevant charities in the comments!

[personal profile] tryslora linked to a kickstarter for The Arrival, a short animated film with some pretty gorgous art and a really interesting story. You can read more or support the project here.

Help For Free:

[personal profile] sabra_n is moving to Burlington, Vermont in March, and is looking for rental tips or people who need roommates in the area, plus tips on life in Vermont. She has a comment here where you can reply.

A member of the cafe wanted to let folks know that their library service is currently running a survey about the "future" of the library (ie, whether it will have one) and invites people to leave lots of feedback, in order to keep the library open.

[personal profile] tellmestories wanted to let everyone know about the Fandom Saved My Life project, a chance for people to talk about how the fandom community has positively impacted their lives.

[livejournal.com profile] dreamwaffles is looking for book recommendations for travelogues set between 1890 and 1910 (preferably) about the awe of exploration. She's left a comment here where you can leave your reccs!

Just For Fun:

[livejournal.com profile] moyakite linked to a great pair of posts reimagining disney movies with gay princes and lesbian princesses.

ALSO [livejournal.com profile] moyakite's first book, Fallacy, will be available for free from 2/2 to 2/4 to celebrate the end of the kickstarter campaign. There's also a paperback giveaway on Goodreads ending at the same time.

And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can always post items for my attention in comments here (or on any post) or email me at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!).
Once upon a time, [livejournal.com profile] kallaneboi made a dire mistake. She mentioned to a friend, Historymiss, that she wanted to see myself and Historymiss have a Tony Stark Throwdown. Then she mentioned it to me. I don't often rise to dares anymore but, well...

Things may have got a little out of hand.

The result was the Tony Throwdown, where Livi and I have just submitted two Tony Stark fanfics each, anonymously, to be voted upon. You choose the winner, and then the winner eats pie. Or something.

Rules for voting are here; if you don't have a tumblr you're out of luck on the voting front but you still get to read four awesome fanfics! Two of which are by me! I CANNOT SAY WHICH TWO.

See You In Homeroom
Summary: Rhodey wants heat-seeking bullets, Steve wants to go for a run, Natasha wants french toast, and Tony just wants to be prom queen.

Hey Hey (You You)
Summary: Tony's got the flu, Rhodey is absolutely not Tony's girlfriend. Nope.

The Tongues Of Men And Angels
Summary: Extremis has a few unexpected benefits.

Equivalent Exchange
Summary: "You said once that I was better than I was."

GO. ENJOY.
