Good morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday! Nice and short this week:

[livejournal.com profile] emyrldlady has a gofundme in place to raise money for rent, medicine, and car repairs after losing her job in May. She has several health ailments that she can't afford medicine for right now, and she has no insurance; she is also facing eviction soon. You can donate at the gofundme or read more here; she is also looking for corporate travel agent jobs in the New Jersey area, and would appreciate advice navigating New Jersey social services, since they appear to be basing her need now on her income from when she was still working.

[livejournal.com profile] snufflesdbear is trying to make some extra cash to feed and spay/neuter some stray cats she's taken in. She does pet drawings, $20 for a 5x7; you can read more and commission here at wordpress or here on Facebook.

And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can always post items for my attention in comments here (or on any post) or email me at copperbadge at gmail dot com. If you're not sure how to proceed, here is a little more about what I do and how you can help (or ask for help!).
It's the end of the year, which means compilation time. Why do I make so many lists? Nobody knows. The best answer is probably "Why not?"

I can't actually find last year's "books I have read" roundup to see if the numbers have dropped, but I suspect they have. Being fair to me it was a really hard year, and also some of these books are super fucking long. Stolen Treasure is almost literally a Russian novel, and Alif the Unseen could be used as a blunt instrument to beat people with.

Books I Read This Year )

So, seventeen completed, eight incompleted. Assuming I read a quarter of each unfinished book, that's nineteen books in 52 weeks or about a book every three weeks. Not too bad.
