Dec. 24th, 2013 07:54 amI called in sick to work. BEST DECISION OF THE MONTH.
I've been fighting off exhaustion, of the "this is unnatural and alarming" sort. I get between seven and eight hours of sleep a night, then start falling asleep on the train to work. Then start falling asleep at my desk while working. Then fall asleep on the bus to the train and nearly miss my stop. We have these "phone rooms" at work which are small private cubicles where you can make a phone call without your entire department overhearing you, and I've taken to locking myself into one, turning out the light, setting my phone alarm for half an hour, and sleeping in the office chair.
Mum says it sounds like untreated apnea, but I never had it this bad when my apnea actually was untreated, and my treatment device seems to be in working order. Could be the last of the hydrocodone working its way out of my system. I'm a little concerned it's mono. Anyway, merry Christmas to me, I get a day off. (We were going to be leaving at 2pm anyway.)
I'm going back to bed.
