As an update, shortly after I drew the pen outline around him, he disappeared. This happened last time with the biopsy, so I'm going to blame a cowardly streak, make a note of when he popped up and vanished, and tell the doctor about it at my scheduled visit in a few months, rather than booking an emergency "there's a thing living on me" visit sooner.
In other news, it is so cold in Chicago that yesterday my phone AND THE BUS both refused to work. Tomorrow it's supposed to be -20. I may be petitioning to work from home.
