editrx has been struggling to keep her indy bookstore afloat for this past year, and on top of her troubles there, she's now been the subject of a violent assault by her housemate. She's dealing with mounting medical bills and trauma from the assault and needs a lawyer to ensure her attacker is charged properly and convicted. I've read it and referenced it before, and I think it's a great explication of the way fan culture works, especially when platforms fail us and new ones arise to take their place.
