Well, that was...repetitive.
I understand that not everyone has the lighting-quick grasp of things like dress code, sexual harassment policy, and direct-deposit paychecks that I do. Still, is it really necessary to go over the dress code three separate times? Must we first read to ourselves and then have the instructor read aloud every sample essay in the handbook?
And does she have to read them aloud as if it were childrens' storytime at the library?
I didn't get to do much writing since my group supervisor decided to sit next to me, but I did get to read enough of The Island of Lost Maps to know that I'm not going to be finishing it. There are moments of really great insight and neat informative passages, but it's a bit like panning for gold. You gotta get through a lot of gravel to find the good stuff.
