Hey! Midnight power outage! Everybody in the house say "OW!"
Fortunately I knew where the flashlight was, on the foyer table where we keep it for walking Dog after dark. Unfortunately it's hard to get across the bedroom and locate the foyer table without the assistance, uh, of a flashlight.
Not like I could do any good, but I thought I'd wander around with a flashlight for a while. Eventually I went back to bed, since it became obvious from a look outside and the thousands of SIRENS GOING OFF that it wasn't a circuit breaker. I did unplug the laptops and the power strip that all the TV/DVD stuff is plugged into, because we are known for having surges in this area when the power comes back on.
Off to reset all the clocks.
